Accessibility
Built to work for everyone
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across the site.
What we do
- Everything works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline wherever you are.
- Pages are structured with real headings, labels and landmarks for screen readers.
- Text and controls meet contrast guidelines, and touch targets are at least 44 pixels.
- The map is never the only way to find something: every market on the map is also in the list beside it.
- Motion is kept to a minimum and turns off if your device asks for reduced motion.
- Each release is checked with automated accessibility tests (axe-core) and by hand with the keyboard.
Known limitations
- Market and vendor details come from many outside websites, and some arrive incomplete. Photos from vendors may not have descriptions yet.
- The map itself relies on OpenStreetMap images, which have limited text alternatives; the list carries the same information.
Tell us about a barrier
If something on Traders Trove is hard to use, please let us know what you were trying to do and what got in the way. We read every note and treat accessibility problems as bugs to fix.
